About  me ....

My interest in herbs began when I studied massage and aromatherapy over 17 years ago. I was fascinated by the properties and benefits of essential oils (which are extracted from herbs) and how they could be used to improve quality of life and have been working with them ever since!

Many herbalists have a trigger which led them down their herbal path. I had a 'lightbulb' moment when our daughter, who had been living with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for several years began responding to treatment from a naturopath in Sydney, Australia, where we were living at the time. As we had had no success with conventional treatment, a friend recommended trying a naturopath, who, after a long consultation, prescribed a herbal tincture and suggested dietary changes and supplements.

Within a few weeks we started to notice a significant improvement. From a girl who was barely at school and had a total lack of energy, she returned to school and managed to take and pass her Higher School Certificate (A levels equivalent)! It was from that 'epiphany' that my passion for the beneficial properties of herbs really developed and I went on to study Nutrition, Bach Flower Essences and Material Media at the Nature Care College in Sydney.

On returning to the UK, I enrolled on the BSc Herbal Medicine degree at the University of Westminster and four years later graduated with an upper second class honours degree.

I am committed to spreading the word about the benefits of herbal medicine and believe that throughout all life stages, there are countless health benefits to be had from medicinal herbs, whether it is to support specific conditions or to achieve and maintain 'wellness' and improve quality of life.
